Festivals through transmission began to become a custom during the coronavirus crisis and mandatory social distancing. In previous days we learned that the label of Martin Garrix and the clubs in Berlin are taking this initiative, which Beatport, the online store specializing in electronic music, has now joined.
The ReConnect Festival will feature 24 hours of live streaming and begins next Friday, March 27 at 8:00 p.m. (GMT).
It will air on Twitch, the platform which lot of artists are choosing for their home concerts.
Some confirmed DJs are Carl Cox, A-Trak, Nina Kraviz, Wax Motif, Nora at Pure, and Nicole Moudaber, among many others. Similar to the United We Stream initiative, viewers will be able to make donations. In this case, they will be administered by the Electronic Music Association (AFEM), who will distribute the income among the organizations in charge of containing the progress of COVID-19.
