MOAI Platform Europe welcomes Sam Lox

MOAI Platform Europe welcomes Sam Lox

Sam Lox, born in 1983 in Arucas (Gran Canaria). He started his way in the world of music and deejaying at the beginning of 2000. Always surrounded by friends who played in clubs in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Maspalomas, little by little he started to get into this world. He started acquiring a very simple two-channel mixer, two cdjs and two turntables (turntables), with which he began to learn with the help of his friends. This is how he began his journey in this world. He soon began to play at private parties and on local radio stations, which for years gave him the opportunity to showcase his musical work.
In his beginnings, his influences were determined by both international and national artists. Jeff Mills, Danny Tenaglia, Carl Cox, Chus & Ceballos, Dj Linus, Dr. Kucho, Wally Lopez, Mateo & Matos, Oscar G, Peace Division, Pete Tha Zouk, among others, marked his musical taste. Nowadays his references are Boris Brejcha, Paul Kakbrenner, Stan Kolev, Jan Blomqvist, Stephan Jolk, among others. His sets are dominated by melodic sounds (melodic techno and melodic house), without leaving aside his musical origins with house and techno, in its different variants.
Between 2008 and 2018, due to personal circumstances, which required his total availability, he had to temporarily suspend all his projects related to music, leaving the musical activity, but not to follow the musical news.
After restarting the activity in 2018, and until today, he returned to focus on training in a deeper way, training in different DJ schools, one of them PROMAD ESCUELA DE DJ Y PRODUCCIÓN MUSICAL. This awakened his interest in music production, which is what he is currently immersed in.
After joining the MOAI family and its roster, he hopes to spread his musical work, gain experience, continue learning, and above all, have fun on this exciting path.
You can check out his latest activity on Soundcloud, Mixcloud, Instagram and Facebook.
