Pro-B-Tech Records is a Scottish label that emerged on the scene in June 2012. Run and created by Brent Lawson with the aim of releasing quality, deep and phatter tracks across the entire underground music spectrum.
Although not closed to other related styles such as Techno, the label’s speciality is undoubtedly Progressive House, where Pro-B-Tech focuses most of its releases.
Since the creation of this label things have continued to grow and grow and now we can find in its catalogue names like TILT, The Underground Allstars, Audioglider, Dave Seaman & John OO Fleming, Hernan Cattaneo & Martin García, Kastis Torrau & Arnas D, Donatello, Paul Nolan and many more.
Apart from the careful selection of music in its catalogue, Pro B Tech Music also takes into special consideration the aesthetics of all its releases. The presentation of their products, with a minimalist and elegant design, is clear proof of how they treat this section.
Brent and his team are always involved in the regional underground scene. If the unfortunate global situation allows it to happen, they will be present at Music is the Answer at the Mains Castle in Dundee on the third and fourth of July.Let’s hope that all goes well and that we can enjoy this festival, with big names such as Darren Emerson, Danny Howells and Dave Seaman on the first day and Guy Mantzur and another illustrious MOAI PRO member, Emi Galvan, on the second day.
Now, with growth and development, Pro B Tech Music has already surpassed 120 references in its catalogue. The Scottish label is heading confidently towards its tenth anniversary, which will arrive in 2022. Here is their latest release, Impasto, created from Miami by Austin Leeds, an ascending and almost atmospheric Progressive House cut in some passages. On the flipside, the track receives an energising remix from Liverpool producer Paul Nolan.
